It’s crucial to go with the right equipment when in the great outdoors. Though amazing, Mother Nature can be deadly – quickly. One crucial part of anyone’s gear when experiencing our national parks needs to be portable shelter – in other words, a tent. Something like the Big Agnes tent, as fine a line as any made anywhere.

They are made from dye-free fabric that’s breathable but waterproof, venting moisture to the outside while keeping everyone dry inside. Their poles are constructed from an anodizing process that is environmentally friendly.

You see, tent poles usually need two extremely toxic chemical substances as a part of the anodizing process. However the Big Agnes tent are created from a unique process that eliminates phosphoric and nitric acid, eliminating the polishing stage altogether.

This also has the added benefit of reducing waste water, because with out employing these toxic chemical substances, any rinsing water that is used could be safely recycled. Of course, there are lots of reasons why a Big Agnes tent is such a best-seller.

Top quality and reliability is one, plus design and features. And the company’s reputation for other merchandise is solid, which makes consumers of portable sheltering curious about the entire Big Agnes product line. Indeed, it appears that the business is most famous for its sleeping bags, which are unlike traditional designs in that the bag and the pad are united into one.

How they do this, they slide the pad into an built-in sleeve located at the bottom of the bag. This way, the top two-thirds is insulated as per usual but the bottom simply contains the pad, doing away with insulation material that loses most of its ability when compressed under the weight of a body anyway. For many individuals, such details do not really matter, but for true enthusiasts, such craftsmanship is important.

Money management is a major aspect of running a business. Just check with serial entrepreneur and success story Zalman Silber, who, after starting multiple businesses, is going into the money management field himself. After all, who better to teach such a subject than one who has successfully practiced it for years with his very own funds?

After first founding a business, everyday finances are the next most critical component of a successful operation. Setting up supply chains, managing inventories, attracting and maintaining the customer base – these are primary concerns, it’s true, but closely on their heels is the quotidian concern of cash flow and working capital.

To be a Zalman Silber, one will require a lot of skills, not the least of which is effective money management. On an individual basis, money management refers to such tasks as budgeting, handling taxes, and monitoring investments – all performed as efficiently as possible to yield the highest returns. For a corporate entity, money management often means cutting costs and getting rid of redundancy.

Money management is a phrase that is found under many circumstances, and believe it or not it is even something many professional gamblers talk about – and even then for some it simply refers to a betting system while for others it means something more like the kinds of practices found in the business world. That’s why it is often necessary to employ professional money managers, for theories abound and it can be hard for a layman to know which course of action is best.

But why is such a thing even necessary? After all, if you were a multi-millionaire, say with ninety million in cash, couldn’t you just park the money in the bank and live quite happily for the rest of your life?

Of course you can. But you may not want to – and it’s not simply a matter of greed, either. For money actually depreciates over time; the value or purchasing power of money is nearly guaranteed to sink. Prices only go up, not down, in the main, over the long-term. Yes, the price of obsolete technology goes down, generally speaking, but that’s a special case, of which there are many but not nearly as many as to neutralize the fact that for the overwhelming vast majority of the really critical things that could be bought in the world, prices tend to only go up. Housing. Transportation. Food. Education. Medical services. And more.

Much, much more. So money management is necessary if you want you money to keep up with inflation – the phenomenon where the same thing costs more and more – if not outright beat it. And one sure way of staying ahead of inflation is to just increase your money. Become wealthier.

Getting rich is one thing. Staying rich almost calls for getting even richer. And that’s where a good money manager can help.

A lot of people have heard of 3G cell phones, whether it be by way of advertisements or word of mouth marketing, understanding that 3G is “good” with little knowledge beyond that suggested fact. In fact, the 3G of 3G no contract cell phones simply means “third generation”, referring to the third “generation” or wave of scientific advances which have upped the functionality and technological capacity of cell phones and mobile devices, including CDMA and GSM standards.

Particularly, 3G cell phones are those fulfilling certain specifications permitting use of wide area voice and data telecommunication, internet access, video messaging, television – and most of the modern applications we associate with typical smartphones. By IMT-2000 specs, to be classified as 3G, a device must provide peak rates of data transfer at 200 kilobits a second.

Before 3G cell phones, there were needless to say cell phones of the first and second generation. A new “generation” has become widely available nearly every ten years, each offering new frequency bands, higher rates of data transfer and non backwards compatible transmission technology. The first generation, 1G, refers to the first generation of analog based mobile phones developed during the eighties. This was replaced by 2G on the GSM standard in 1991, which was the first digital standard allowing data to be digitally encrypted for the first time.

It also offered data services to mobile devices for the first time, starting up with SMS text messaging which has become groundbreaking, but also including picture messages, email, and file transfers. Though 3G cell phones are the current standard, with 4G looming over the horizon, 2G networks are still fully functional in numerous parts of the world.

3G cell phones first found fruition in 2003 when the first 3G network was introduced. By 2007, 200 million people had subscribed to any one of the 190 3G networks functioning in 40 countries. Still, only about 7% of cell phones users are subscribed to a 3G network, given that most cell phones users are in places like East Asia or the Middle East where networks are slower to roll out and technology is still a few years behind places like Europe or North America.

Poised to succeed 3G cell phones, 4G is slowly beginning to find its way to the market. The 4G standard of data transfer is 100 megabits a second for users in a state of high mobility, such as behind the wheel or on a moving train, and 1 gigabit for pedestrian or stationary users. This upgrade in data transfer will allow 4G to improve and continue using features established by 2 and 3G, such as video calls and broadband internet access, as well as newer technologies such as streaming HDTV. For 4G, the CDMA standard is set to be abandoned, in lieu of the newer OFDMA.

Were you aware that unlocked cell phones have received something of a huge nod from the American judiciary lately, thanks to a judgment that will allow for the unlocking of an individual’s own mobile handset completely legal. Wireless service providers in general lock the handsets they give their buyers so that those devices will only work using the provider’s network. The upshot of it all is that mobile phones are automatically made unusable whenever folks switch carriers, and so a cottage industry has developed around those individuals who want to take their telephones with them to a completely new carrier. And finally the courts just provided this practice its blessings, but with one fatal caveat – while unlocking cell phones is allowed, the means mandatory to accomplish it is not!

The Mediterranean Diet is one of the most recent and popularly accepted methods of losing weight, and it’s based on one of the most ancient ways of eating anywhere in the world. So named due to its origins around the Mediterranean region, the Mediterranean Diet today is usually said to reflect the healthy culinary habits traditional to Greece in particular, where salads predominate and any meat is grilled, essentially never fried.

Like much of Greek cuisine, the Mediterranean Diet centers on dark leafy vegetables, fresh fruit, and high-fiber beans. Fats and protein comes from cheese, grilled meats and seafood, and of course olive oil.

Yogurt also forms a staple of this diet, as does nuts and grains. Such foods are suggested by most doctors as immunity-boosting and cancer-fighting, cutting heart disease and diabetes risks substantially and almost immediately.

With these foods, one normally feels a lot more satisfied and less likely to binge-eat, some studies show. An important part of this Mediterranean or Greek way of consuming involves much smaller portions, which are also shared. But take care: a few classics of Greek cuisine can be very fattening, too, for instance the popular spanakopita, or spinach pie, which is loaded with butter and can contain as many calories as a bacon cheeseburger!

All in all, however, consuming in a Mediterranean manner is typically recognized by study after study as having significant benefits. Little wonder, then, that everyone from sedentary couch potatoes to competitive athletes follow this diet so enthusiastically! Of course, the greatest diet is the one that you can actually stick with while helping you achieve your goals, and the Mediterranean variety is no do-it-all miracle on its own. Depending on your particular circumstances, you may also need to augment proper nutrition with adequate exercise and rest. But there’s no better-tasting first step than some grilled and sautéed Greek staple to get you moving forward!

Wine holders can make outstanding wedding gifts. After all, somebody is sure to give a set of wine glasses, and others are sure to give some bottles of wine! So why not beautiful wine holders to showcase it all while offering a degree of protection.

Getting the right wedding gifts may be quite the chore, and playing it safe by resorting to previous stand-bys can be a time-efficient, cost-effective approach to fulfill social expectations tastefully and respectfully enough.

Neither is it cynical to present a newly wedded couple elegant wine holders, especially if they are customized to uniquely reflect the matrimonial occasion. A paralyzingly rich cornucopia of styles exist, constructed of any number of materials now. Indeed, the marketplace is full of such innovative aesthetics that it is arguable that they even help accentuate the taste of fine wine!

That’s because unlike the case with beer, one expects a certain elegance with wine. And even though hip trendy shapes have invaded the formerly neo-classical sensibilities of the wine holder world, most would most likely still prefer good old-fashioned looks for one presented as commemorative a wedding gift. But there is no shortage of such styles, which are nearly certain to stay ever popular.

When looking for the right wine holder to give as a wedding present, it is crucial to keep the couple in mind at all times. Do they even drink? Of course, one might employ wine racks and holders as purely aesthetic props of a sort, but it’s always great to keep the recipients of a gift in thoughts when shopping!

Weddings may be stressful enough. A quality wine rack or holder is a safe way to calmly fulfill the social obligation of not arriving empty-handed while not presenting a thing which might prove , even embarrassing, in the case of those overly religious.

A swimmer needs to practice every day, which is why the occasional swimming pool resurfacing could be so devastating to an athlete. But while standard techniques can take entire days, now there is a much better way to do things, one which doesn’t even require hired help.

That’s right, do-it-yourself swimming pool resurfacing is now possible thanks to the miracles of modern technology. It’s a straightforward procedure which will have the pool ready for business in a few relatively short hours, a real godsend for swimmers who need to work hard daily to maintain their fitness. Not just swimmers who need the practice time will benefit, of course.

To have a pool without water in it is pretty depressing, least of which is because of the fact that pools in need of renovation do not usually look too good anyway.

Of course, it is possible to do your swimming pool resurfacing in the fall, after all of the barbecues and other poolside gatherings. But in any case, it’s now a fairly simple matter involving just a few hours, so why spends hundreds or even thousands to hire others?

Swimming pools have been around since ancient times. The Great Bath at Mohenjo-Daro around five thousand years ago was covered by a tar-based sealant. Heated pools were known to the ancient Romans who could afford them. But it seemed to have been the British of the mid-nineteenth century who most popularized swimming pools, and ever since then resurfacing has been one of the main maintenance tasks.

For the individual homeowner, modern advances have made such upkeep much less difficult. Readily available in the form of a gel coating that can be applied to gunite, conrete, or fiberglass surfaces, modern resurfacing is now just a once-in-a-while kind of chore, with each application lasting up to thirty years or more!

Green energy. You hear about it all the time nowadays. The U.S. needs it. China is getting ever more involved with it. Green energy. But what does it all mean? Our newspapers tell us that it is the wave of the future, the only way forward. Yet nothing is happening in this nation, where most green technologies have been invented, and it’s China that seems poised to dominate this industry of the 21st Century.

So what makes for green energy, and why is it so crucial? The term is more accurately referred to, technically speaking, as sustainable energy, energy that meets present needs without compromising the environment upon which future generations will also depend.

To be regarded as sustainable typically means to be renewable in such a way as wind, solar, and water-generated energy is. Conventional fission power, or nuclear, energy is technically a green form of energy though many environmentalists believe that its potential hazard far outweighs the advantages to be derived.

Moreover, disposable of spent nuclear fuel rods is a major challenge, with a high likelihood of leagage in most scenarios. Now how has China gotten into the issue? Well, it’s not only the world’s fastest-growing economy, but also its fastest-growing polluter, rivaling the United States.

It also happens to be the largest market for eco-friendly technologies and, as the “workshop of the world” also the single largest manufacturer of all the hardware involved. And so any conversation on anything green must, in the end, focus on the role of China.

But what is China’s position in all of this? As it is always been: driven by necessity. With the world’s largest population living only on a mere fraction of its arable land, the nation is highly sensitive to all kinds of issues related to the environment, energy policy, and economic growth. Going green, China’s leaders recognize, is the best chance they’ve got to not only survive in the post-industrial world but also to prosper.

To make money by blogging, you’ll want to find explosive niches to blog, topics folks care about – a lot of folks. The easiest thing to do, if all you truly care about is money, is to start up an MFA site. No, this isn’t a Master of Fine Arts website, but a made-for-Adsense website. A website designed specifically for Google’s Adsense program, where you place interactive advertisements that pay you for each click made on them!

Every click from a unique visitor, as determined by a unique IP address, typically. That is why it is so crucial to find explosive niches to blog about, because you will only be making money if enough people click on the ads you put up on your website. Of course, you now come to the next problem to be solved: how to attract all those people?

First off, know that you’ll want to appeal to tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of visitors to your web site – each day. That’s right; each day, your web site needs to have enough traffic for you to make money, because each click will usually only yield pennies – yes, pennies! So you need thousands of people clicking those ads to be able to make a decent amount of money every day. That’s how you blog residual cash to your business, by getting commission off of referrals!

But conversion rates, the number of folks who actually generate income for you, are usually around three percent. That means for every hundred visitors, chances are only three or four – or two or one! – will actually click on an ad, netting you less than ten cents, normally. That’s why it’s so essential to find topics that will interest the greatest number of people! Blogging popular television shows is a excellent way to go in many cases.

Taxes and all of those forms… Let’s face it, tax forms can in most cases be challenging. There are a great deal of questions everyday people ask when they are sent or need to send out tax forms. One of the more common questions is, if you get a W9 form request, just what should you do with it?

Well if you get a W9 request then according to the Internal Revenue Service you are required to reply to it, so long as that person requesting it is responsible to give you a 1099 form (this is an information return). If they are not required to give you a 1099 form (information return), well that is a whole different story.

So what will happen if you do not reply to the form W9 request?

If you will not reply to the form W9 request you will be subject to a $50 penalty and also future backup withholding. Backup withholding? you might possibly ask, well if choose not to give the info needed to a required filer of an 1099 Form (information return, not to be confused with a 1040 form) they are required to withhold up to 28% which is remitted to the government.

Historical Greek vases are a testimony to one of the founding civilizations of Europe, one that stretched well over seven hundred years. It is the one seminal culture that is most responsible for making the West what it is. Through its own genius, as well as the genius it inspired in the Romans, ancient Greek methods have gone on to influence lands far outside of Europe and cultures far different than any on the continent.

Part of the beauty behind Greek vases has to do with the beholder’s own awareness of such a storied legacy. Modern science, politics, mathematics, and philosophy are greatly indebted to ancient Greek thought. Of course, art and culture have been significantly Greek at their core for centuries as well. So profound has been this influence that historians and general thinkers-at-large frequently wonder why modern Greek society seems such a pale reflection.

The meditative contemplation that comes with a deep consideration of Greek vases might lead one on such flights of intellectual fancy as to draw startling connections tantalizing and tenuous due to their novelty. For example, China, the other great foundational influence in the human heritage (and certainly within their respective part of the world), is now rising up.

Modern greece, nonetheless, is hamstrung by the cynicism and greed of its own citizens. Businessmen in China and Greece both realize how endemic corruption and bribery is in both countries, and yet it’s odd how China can still manage to challenge even the United States despite such deficiencies while Greece needs European Union help. Is it merely a matter of size?

What exactly is it that determines that one people should prosper, and prosper again, while another shall only ever have prospered within the past? What’s the magic factor here? Is as simple as the “destiny” and “fate” that both ancient Greek and ancient-modern Chinese culture regards so highly?

Soundproofing walls usually indicates the use of soundproofing drywall, a special type of insulation product created to damper noise. Soundproofing refers to any means of reducing sound pressure by employing sound reduction and noise absorption.

The former term involves blocking the passage of sound, often by means of prolonged distances and also the use of obstacles along the path of a sound. The latter operates by transforming the sound itself, usually through the suppression of characteristics like resonance and reverberation.

Cheap soundproofing has traditionally been a misnomer, as the technologies employed are typically state-of-the-art: after all, few have the money for a nusiance that’s typically considered part of the price of living in modern society. But recent advances have made it possible for some true “bang-for-the-buck” bargains, specifically with regards to windows.

The primary focus of residential soundproofing plans is the windows. Unless building from scratch, the windows will be essentially the most practical point of focus, as it presents the most cost-efficient opportunities. For starters, specially developed curtains are available that use honeycomb-like air chambers to dampen sounds. Then there are double-pane windows, as well as the installation of a second, or interior, window.

But if you are due for a renovation, or are newly constructing, be sure to check out the new soundproofing technologies built-into modern sheetrock specially designed to dampen noise. These products save not only money but floorspace as well, fully replacing traditional techniques involving resilient channels and mass-loaded vinyl.

Such innovative drywall meet all the usual safety and performance standards that govern their regular cousins on the market, and are available in common sizes and thicknesses. Plus, despite their added capabilities, they are just as easy to use. Residential or commercial, soundproof drywalls usher in a new era of noise reduction and elimination.

Bronze statues are all over the place. Keeping them clean appears like quite a challenge! But apparently, bronze statues will need only the most basic levels of care in order to look very presentable. All that is needed is good ol’ soap and water. That is it! Dish soap and warm water. Go figure!

Hard to believe, of course, given the state of your typical bronze sculpture in the parks or on the street. And just why are so many made of bronze in the first place? Well, it turns out that bronze has some traits that make a sculptor’s job that much easier.

They are strong but not brittle, so that much more daring action poses may be used with less visually intrusive supports. They also expand a little right before setting to ensure that a mold is likely to be totally filled, down to the slightest detail.

Interestingly, the cleaning of iron statues, a less popular but still fairly common kind of sculpture, will most likely be more involved. Rust or peeling paint may need to be removed first. Using sandpaper ought to suffice, and then it’s on to the soap and water! Stone statues, however, typically need no soap at all except in instances of heaving staining. White marble statues, however, must not come into contact with bleach.

Regular exposure to the chemical will almost undoubtedly damage the marble! Actually, there’s virtually never a good reason to use bleach with statuary, besides the fact that it’s harmful towards the environment, killing any plant it touches.

Now all this sounds straightforward enough. So why are all the bronze, iron, and marble statues out there so dirty? In a word, money – or the lack thereof, rather. Local and national parks departments are among the very first to be cut back in an budget shakeup, and unfortunately this is an even worse recession than any previous within the past seventy-five years!

Getting Small business loans is usually tough unless you’re so successful banks are pretty much throwing money at you! But for many entrepreneurs, it’s tough finding any financial help. Sadly, it often comes down to family members to pitch in and get the would-be capitalist’s dreams kick-started! Such Little business financing present rather distinctive challenges, of course.

Family and friends members seem like the ideal allies to enlist when it comes to making good on your dreams, but the reality is that quite often relationships are strained because of the vagaries of likelihood. Getting into business for yourself is a hell of a roller-coaster ride, after all, financially and otherwise, and borrowing money from your nearest as well as dearest is actually subjecting them to about the same stresses you’d be under yourself!

Tough stuff indeed. That’s why it’s better to get your small business loans from strangers, typically. Just as typically, however, strangers do not care about your hopes and will loan money only to pursue theirs – which is to make their money grow! Thus the conundrum, particularly for those just starting out: how to convince someone that his / her money will grow through investing in your vision? Tough stuff!

But banks are infamous for not looking to deal with startups. It’s an uncommon loan officer who will even make an effort hearing you out, never mind making an offer! And certainly, who could blame them: the overwhelming vast majority of small businesses fail with the first five years. From the bank’s viewpoint, lending an entrepreneur seed money is merely gambling – and banks are in business to make money, not play it away in return for some good times.

(Of course, that’s just what has took place with the current financial meltdown, the Great Recession of these past two to three years, where senior executives basically looted their own banks by granting bad loans from which they personally profit at the expense of the company as a whole – but that’s another article or, rather, number of articles!)

Eventually, the only real business loans available for a small business would be forthcoming only after a few months or even a couple of years in business, making money and maybe even turning a profit. Once your financials are in order, lenders shall be much more comfortable taking a look at helping out. In the commencement, you can mostly rely on your own savings and not too much else, most of the time.

In truth, a small business loan is officially a life saver, or business saver I should say, and keeps a tidy record similar to that of a person’s credit history. Not very identical to credit history but a lot more like whether or not they deserve a loan. But it also depends on credit too, unfortunately there’s no escape from that.

Aching muscle relief is some thing usually encountered among older athletes. For largely unknown reasons, the aging process causes muscles to tighten up and causes their use to be much hindered, frequently resulting in soreness and even outright pain. A muscle relief gel is utilized by many to treat such conditions, people who refuse to be consigned to the much less active lifestyles normally recommended by their doctors.

As per the old adage about the truth being “somewhere in-between,” maybe the best course of action is to heed the healtcare providers’ advice to a certain degree, relieving aching muscles while not completely giving up long-cherished hobbies – that is, modifying their pursuit in deference to age or the advancement thereof.

Of course, this kind of a course of action is hard for athletes used to giving their all and pushing performance envelopes. But it must be learned, and practiced and mastered the same as any new skill, in order to lay the proper foundation for a physically rigorous, but also safe, life. The older athlete faces enough challenges with out bringing on more, such as creating problems outright by refusing to accommodate nature’s unavoidable progression.

Decline is inevitable. What is not inevitable is catastrophic break-down, and that depends in large part on the older athlete’s psychological acceptance of dramatically changed circumstances. Go with the flow, working with Mother Nature, and you’ll be able to typically expect a vigorous enough life still.

Listen to your body. Learn its new language, its reduced syntax. The range of physical expression diminishes, but vibrancy is still possible when appropriately channeled.

That is the challenge for the older athlete, pain or no pain. It is to learn anew how to work with the limits of one’s body, encouraging it to excel its capabilities even while respecting those limits. It is the challenge of any athlete at any age, but advanced ages make the challenge much more plain.

Stocking and supplying medical office supplies has usually been one of the duties of a hospital dispensary, which is mainly dedicated to dispensing medication according to doctors’ prescriptions. Nowadays, the term “dispensary” refers to a handful of different institutions around the world – or, even, within the country.

For instance, in California a dispensary is a specially designated store licensed to sell not medical office supplies but medical marijuana (which is also the situation in the Canadian province of British Columbia), while in the states of Idaho and South Carolina a dispensary used to refer to the governmental agency that served as the only legal source of alcohol.

Also no source of medical office supplies is the Kenyan dispensary, a small outpatient health facility usually managed by a registered nurse. These nurses report to clinical officers at a health centre, which is also where patients are referred to for treatment in cases much more complicated than a typical ailment like cold or malaria. Modeled on the British system, this sort of healthcare dispensary is no simple storehouse of supplies but what Americans would call a community clinic.

This kind of medical clinic or dispensary got its start up in London, England back in the 1700s, and is credited with aquainting doctors with the problems of the poor mainly because unlike the case with hospitals or a private practice, this dispensary service actually brought doctors into their patients’ homes. Their social consciences shocked, thus were the first dispensaries set up – free healthcare for the poor.

Indeed, young aspiring physicians of the day were very eager to serve as honorary physicians to the dispensaries, though such an appointment was normally voluntary (with no more than a small honorarium at best) and not as prestigious as a hospital posting. It was nothing short of a health care revolution: for the first time since the Hippocratic Oath, altruistic motivations were the norm.
